Disability Awareness and Educational Resources

As a special education teacher, disability awareness has always been a passion of mine— who would’ve thought my passion would now be applicable to my own life journey… becoming an author of a children’s book about traumatic brain injury?! I still pinch myself and wonder if this is real life. It’s been beyond amazing to see this list I started compiling over 10 years ago expand to over 100+ titles! Sign up below to gain access to a variety of my favorite children’s books (both picture and chapter books!) that will help you gain knowledge and build awareness on a variety of disabilities and topics such as inclusion, acceptance, the history surrounding disability rights and laws, neurodiversity, and more! Representation matters, especially surrounding disabilities. Not only from an educational resource standpoint, but also to allow those with a disability feel seen in literature as ordinary characters.

Because… all are worth celebrating our incredible abilities and unique minds.
